This is the first time i’ve ever recorded myself play.
After years of playing in my bedroom, and being fortunate enough to play at some pretty dope clubs/events, I always felt like I wanted to give the audience something new and the energy I anticipated on the D—Floor, never matched the moves I busted out in my room.
I’m not the best DJ, I’ve always played the early set and that comes with a lot of responsibility. But I don’t go out enough to know what people still listen to in the club. I would always try some new s*** but most of the time, at least in my city (which I love) they don’t always want that new music — “WE WANT W.A.P!”
Right here, ‘FOR YOU, BY ME’ is a playlist and a series I hope to continue where I take it back to where I started, in the comfort of my own setting, playing the music I love, with the people i’m blessed to call my friends and family.
